Business - Logistics and Supply Chain

Logistics has its roots in the Napoleonic era, where it dealt with the movement of military goods and supplies.

It has evolved over the years to deal with the physical movement of products used for business.

Supply Chain Management grew out of the logistics field in the 1980s as a much more holistic, strategic discipline encompassing all the aspects of how companies source raw materials, manufacture goods, and distribute them to retailers and customers.
